About the role  
A Power Networks is seeking a Civil Works Officer to join our Civil Construction team. Reporting to the Civil Construction Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality civil construction outcomes across our network projects.

This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise, contractor management, safety leadership and stakeholder engagement. You'll support projects from initial planning through to construction completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

About You

You are a safety-focused civil construction professional who enjoys working collaboratively to deliver successful project outcomes. You bring strong contractor management skills, sound technical judgement and the ability to balance quality, time and budget requirements in a dynamic project environment.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience in civil construction, infrastructure or utilities environments
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety and risk management practices
  • Experience managing contractors and construction activities
  • The ability to interpret designs and provide practical construction input
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
