About the opportunity

SA Power Networks Cyber Security Operations team have permanent opportunity for a Defensive Cyber Security Analyst.

Reporting to the Cyber Security Operations Manager, the Defensive Cyber Security Analyst will provide cyber security services which include monitoring and detection of suspicious cyber security events, incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence and threat hunting services and providing technical recommendations to reduce SA Power Networks’ (SAPN) attack surface.

The Defensive Cyber Security Analyst is also responsible in ensuring that cyber security services are aligned with business risks and policy and that appropriate security controls are in place and operating effectively. 

About you:

  • Degree in an IT related discipline and/or equivalent skills and knowledge gained through experience
  • May be required provide on-call support for the cyber security operations team
  • Intra/interstate travel may be required
  • Out of hours work may be required
