About the role

A newly created role, SA Power Networks is seeking a People Planning Lead to join the team in People & Culture.

Reporting to the Head of People Planning & Improvement, this is a thought-based leadership role responsible for the development and execution of the SA Power Networks People Plan and Strategic Workforce Plan, and establishing, guiding, and supporting the implementation of these initiatives within the P&C team. With a strong focus on people partnering, this pivotal role will foster robust working relationships across the organisation to drive and support these initiatives.

 

Other role responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and improve robust workforce and people planning frameworks that support SA Power Networks' long-term strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with the People Systems and Insights Manager to analyse workforce and people data, identifying capability gaps, succession risks, and future workforce needs.
  • Contribute to the delivery of the People Plan framework and governance processes, including quarterly business reviews and planning sessions.
  • Review and assess current People processes to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and drive strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide support to teams and leaders in building their capability to apply continuous improvement methodologies effectively.

About you

  • Generalist experience across all elements of a People & Culture function are the foundations for success.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully partnering with the business to deliver strategic people programs of work.
  • Understanding of and experience with strategic workforce planning and workforce development strategies and their implementation within a large complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to think strategically with a holistic view lens across various aspects of business with interrelated operations and interdependencies.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience with a track record of developing strong business partnering relationships and influencing and coaching key decision makers.
