About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Powerline Asset Engineer to join our team. As a Powerline Asset Engineer, you will develop and implement solutions to manage powerline assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective services for our customers.
You will leverage insights into asset condition and risk to guide your decisions, prioritising the minimisation of whole-of-life costs, achieving reliability targets, and managing asset-related risks within acceptable levels. Working within the Asset Management Framework, you will ensure all activities align with SA Power Networks' strategic objectives and contribute to the achievement of our Asset Management Objectives and targets.

About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
Essential:
-
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Desirable:
-
Proficiency in SAP, Geocortex, Vistool, eDrawings, Pole Calculator, ADMS, Power BI
-
Clear communication skills and ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert
-
Knowledge of ISO55000, RCM, FMECA, SAPN operations, and fire start risk
-
Field-based knowledge of powerline assets, civil/structural requirements, and operational constraints
-
Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and proactive mindset for improvement

Ability to scope, manage budgets, and deliver project outcomes

Strong financial analysis, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills
