Are you a finance professional with a passion for delivering insightful reporting and driving business performance? SA Power Networks is seeking a Senior Planning and Reporting Analyst to join our team and play a key role in shaping the financial future of our organisation.

 

About the role

As a Senior Analyst in the Planning and Reporting team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial performance reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for SA Power Networks. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure strong financial governance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide data-led insights to support decision-making.

This role offers the opportunity to manage the end-to-end financial management of capital and operating portfolios, both for specific business areas and individual projects. You will also contribute to the development and enhancement of financial systems and processes, driving efficiencies and improvements across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a culture focused on Performance by delivering analysis and insights through monthly performance reporting, supporting Customer & Strategy and the Corporate business units.
  • Coordinate and prepare annual capital and operating budgets, partnering with business leaders to drive accountability and commercial acumen.
  • Manage the forecasting process to ensure proactive financial performance management and early identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Business Relationship Management and key operational stakeholders to deliver value-add financial processes and insights.
  • Play a pivotal role in ensuring reporting is fit-for-purpose (Power BI) and processes used to deliver objectives are efficient and effective.
  • Support the Planning and Reporting Manager and the wider FP&A team in achieving commercial and strategic objectives.

Our salaries are positioned well above industry standards; with this role offering a starting annual base salary of $147,824.

 

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Strong experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, ideally within a complex organisation.
  • A proven ability to deliver accurate and timely financial insights that drive business performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and influence decision-making.
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities and implementing solutions.
  • Strong technical skills in financial systems and reporting tools, with a focus on process improvement.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field (CPA/CA qualification is highly regarded).
