About the role  
As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for auditing and inspecting newly constructed distribution and lighting infrastructure to ensure there is a high level of compliance to all relevant design and construction standards in line with SA Power Networks' Technical and Construction Standards.

The extent of the inspections is not limited to the works carried out exclusively by the electrical contractor but extends to any component of the works. The extent of compliance audits may include civil works, easement verification and associated installations undertaken for and on behalf of the customer or the customers agents that will be vested to SA Power Networks

What We’re Looking For:

  • A commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
  • An Electrical Worker Trade Certificate, along with relevant experience in Power Line or Electrical Distribution experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Work Health and Safety:

  • Implement and administer work health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify and address hazards, report incidents, and participate in accident investigations.
  • Develop safe working methods to ensure the well being of all stakeholders.

Compliance Audits:

  • Conduct site audits to ensure contractors and service providers meet technical standards.
  • Assist in the development and review of technical standards to align with network requirements.
  • Issue non-conformances and ensure timely rectification.

Customer Service:

  • Build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Assess customer needs and deliver prompt, tailored solutions.
  • Maintain high customer service standards and address concerns effectively.
