About the Role
An SA Power Networks ‘HV Test Electrician’ applies the expertise and knowledge of a highly skilled electrical tradesperson in the High Voltage testing and monitoring of substation assets up to 66kV, EWP fleet, PPE, and HV test equipment.
Key responsibilities include assisting in the testing of HV plant and equipment to ensure the continued and safe operation of SA Power Networks' distribution network to the required standards. This role also involves taking part in the investigation and analysis of power system HV faults, failures, and incidents, as well as writing technical reports and letters of test for investigation activities.
Additionally, the HV Test Electrician ensures that HV testing equipment is maintained in good working order and used in accordance with established processes, legislation, and safety policies.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to be extended for the right person.

About you
Your skills and experience will include:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Current Electrical Workers Registration
  • Current SA drivers’ licence (class - Car)
  • Commercial & residential installation experience
