About the role

As a Connection Services Manager, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end delivery of minor and transactional customer connection services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and SA Power Networks’ customer service standards. You will oversee services including new and modified connections, isolations and abolishments, and be instrumental in supporting industry changes. 

Working closely with internal teams, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, you’ll drive continuous improvement, implement new services, and enhance the customer experience across high‑volume connection activities. You’ll play a key role in supporting reliable and customer‑focused service delivery, helping us improve digital and customer connection processes, embracing automation and enable the state’s evolving energy needs.  

Reporting to the Energy Services Manager, this role offers the opportunity to shape connection service operations, lead a high‑performing team, and influence industry‑wide improvements.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

Essential:

  • Advanced Diploma in business (or equivalent experience)

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar service‑delivery environment

  • Strong understanding of electricity industry legislation, regulations, and market operations

  • Demonstrated capability in leading teams in a high‑volume, customer‑centric function

  • Advanced communication, customer service, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and leading process improvements, change and optimisation activities

  • SA Driver’s Licence (Class C)

Desirable:  

  • Experience with SAP systems

  • Knowledge of SA Power Networks policies, guidelines, directives and technical standards

  • Exposure to National Electricity Market processes and regulatory frameworks
