About the role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Asset Management Officer to join our Inspection Operations team. In this role, you will provide specialist asset assessment services that support the effective management, performance and reliability of the network.
You will play a key part in delivering advanced asset inspections, investigating equipment failures, responding to customer queries, supporting reliability diagnostics, and contributing to compliance, mentoring and auditing activities. Your work will help ensure high-quality asset data is captured and maintained, enabling informed decision-making across the business.

About you
As an Asset Management Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering detailed and methodical inspection and patrol services across network assets, with a strong focus on the Line Inspection Manual and emergency response events
- Conducting specialised condition monitoring, including:
- thermography
- switchgear inspections
- equipment failure investigations
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, consistency and effectiveness
- Providing training, mentoring and constructive feedback to improve the capability of Contract Asset Inspectors
- Performing desktop and field auditing to ensure employees, contractors and service providers comply with technical standards and project specifications
- Ensuring quality asset information is accurately captured, reviewed and maintained within corporate systems
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A Certificate of Trade in Powerline
- Demonstrated experience in asset inspection, auditing, condition monitoring or network field operations
- Strong knowledge of technical standards, inspection practices and compliance requirements
- The ability to investigate asset condition and equipment failures with a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to mentor, train and provide constructive feedback
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- A current driver licence and the ability to drive as part of the role
