About the role
We’re looking for a skilled and safety-focused Electrical Tradesperson (Electrician) to join our team in Mount Barker. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the delivery of safe, reliable and efficient electrical network services for our customers and communities across the region.
As an SA Power Networks Electrical Tradesperson (Electrician), you will be responsible for the connection of new & altered customer electrical installations, perform emergency response work, reconnect / disconnect customer installations, investigate reported electrical shocks, voltage complaints and other electrical AS/NZS3000 works as required.

About you
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Current Electrical Workers Registration
- Current SA drivers’ licence (class - Car)
- Commercial & residential installation experience
Essential:
- Electrical Trade Certificate
- Current Electrical Workers Registration
- Current SA drivers licence (class - Car)
Desirable:
- Commission, maintenance, problem solving of control & SCADA systems or relevant experience (preferable)
- Experience in Protection Testing (Preferable)
- Reading Electrical Drawings
- Good Computer skills (Preferable)
- The ability to learn new skills and adapt to changes in standards, systems, and technologies
- Work intra and interstate
- Work overtime as required
- Travel intrastate which may involve staying away from home for periods of time
- Attend training courses
- May be required to participate in an availability roster and / or shift roster
- must be prepared to work flexible hours, including after hours, to meet business requirements
