About the role  
The Recloser Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Trade Skilled Worker Electrical to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the testing and commissioning of distribution protection and feeder automation devices and associated systems across the state, along with supporting emergency response work and participating in an availability roster. This role involves extensive laptop-based work and requires candidates to be proficient in using technology.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated electrical tradesperson who enjoys technical field work, problem-solving, and contributing to reliable network operations.

About you  

You are a safety-focused and dependable electrical tradesperson with strong technical capability and a willingness to respond to operational demands. You work well both independently and as part of a team, and you are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes in the field.

Essential: 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Electrical Trade Certificate
  • Current Electrical Workers Registration
  • Current South Australian driver’s licence

Applicants should be aware that this role may involve:

  • A reasonable amount of planned overtime
  • Overtime for emergency and supply restoration work
  • Intrastate travel, required to travel and work away for periods of time
  • Participation in an availability roster and/or shift roster

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and commissioning of distribution protection and feeder automation devices
  • Work on associated electrical systems and equipment
  • Support emergency response and supply restoration activities as required
  • Participate in an availability roster and/or shift arrangements where needed
  • Undertake intrastate travel, including periods away from home
  • Attend training courses and maintain required competencies
  • Work flexibly, including planned overtime and after-hours work, to meet business needs
  • Perform Temporary Higher-Class Duties where required
